The farming landscape continues to be difficult. Changes in both the geopolitical landscape and weather, combined with under pressure farm economics, all create uncertainty. With focus on next years cropping underway, utilising the best and readily available plant nutrients is an important consideration. With soil nitrogen reserves already depleted, following a wet autumn/spring, its important to make sure that these reserves are raised appropriately not only for the forthcoming crop but for the following years.
Quick fixes using UAN or Urea will satisfy the need for the immediate season, but they can be quite costly, have a higher risk of volalisation and differ in quality. The best possible option would be to utilise Granular Ammonium Nitrate, in particular LAT Nitrogen’s MYPREMIAN® or MYNITRAS®. Rich in nitrogen, LAT Nitrogen’s Granular Nitrate’s are the preferred form of nitrogen for uptake by the plants. Regardless of soil temperature, MYPREMIAN® and MYNITRAS® quickly meet the needs and requirements of the crop.
Field trials were carried out in North-western part of France, with winter wheat showing a significant increase of yield by using fertiliser with sulphur.
Aline Lamperier, Agronomist at LAT Nitrogen in France delcares: 'In this field trial of winter wheat, there is a gain of more than 22% in yield by using MYNITRAS® instead of MYPREMIAN®. The units of sulphur available in this grade are utilised by the crop incredibly well improving yield quality and quantity.'
LAT Nitrogen continues to be proud of its ability to support and supply quality Granulated products to farmers throughout the UK and Europe. Recognised for its superior quality, impressive spreading capabilities and agronomic benefits, L.A.T Nitrogen’s MYPREMIAN® Granular AN 33.5 and MYNITRAS® 27N 10s03 are acknowledged as a premium nitrate fertilisers.
MYNITRAS® benefit from the same qualities as MYPREMIAN® and in doing so provide consistency to the grower from straight Nitrogen right through to Nitrogen Sulphur.
UK & Ireland Sales Manager, Tom Holt, states: ‘The decision growers make today in sourcing and choosing the right form of Nitrogen is such an important consideration. The LAT Nitrogen product portfolio of MYPREMIAN® and MYNITRAS® are perfectly suited to meet UK growers’ demands. Both products have fantastic bulk densities allowing them to be spread, with complete confidence, at widths of 36m and beyond. Furthermore, our plant locations in France allow quick and direct access to the UK market through our preferred distribution routes all year round.’
MYPREMIAN® and MYNITRAS® are available throughout the UK via a network of strategically selected distributors.
